Our mission is to provide support, education, and advocacy for people with mental illnesses and their family and friends. We offer separate support groups for both family members and people who have mental illness. There are groups meeting in Raleigh, Knightdale, Wake Forest, Apex and Fuquay. Please check the calendar to identify a group suitable for you or send an email. We also offer classes for both family members of adults with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and other general mental illnesses. 

The class are called Family to Family and run for 12 weeks. Another class is specifically for family members of people with symptoms or a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. On the fourth Monday of the month, we have a general education meeting with a specific topic of interest to people in our group. Please check the calendar for this month’s meeting topic. Everyone is welcome!

Mrs. Hardin was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and raising flowers. She was an active member of Central Falls United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by husband, John Adams Hardin; and son-in-law, Bruce Batts. 

Mrs. Hardin is survived by daughters, Judy Batts of Johnson City, Tenn., and Janie Sprinkle and husband Dean of Rural Retreat, Va.; son, John Thomas Hardin and wife Heather Runyun of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Kimrey Batts of Quito, Ecuador, John Sprinkle and wife Stephanie of Raleigh and Nicholson Sprinkle and wife Paige of Greensboro; and great-grandson, Charlie Sprinkle. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the Pugh Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Danny Keen officiating.
